Head and Neck Surgical Oncology

We take a team approach to head and neck cancer care. Surgeons, radiation oncologists, chemotherapy specialists and nurses come together for a multidisciplinary evaluation to devise a treatment plan specifically tailored to your particular needs.

We perform major head and neck surgery for cancer with the latest techniques in radiotherapy including CyberKnife. As a coordinated group, we work with our excellent radiotherapy department and The Bennett Cancer Center for chemotherapy where necessary.

Symptoms of head and neck cancer.

  • A mouth sore that bleeds easily and doesn't heal
  • A lump or thickening anywhere in your mouth or neck
  • Soreness or swelling in the mouth that doesn't go away
  • Prolonged hoarseness of the voice
  • Red or white patch on the tongue, gums, or cheeks that doesn't go away
  • Difficulty chewing, swallowing, or moving your tongue or jaw.
